Avia Magen and Kobi Maimon Launch New Hotel Chain Including Princess Hotel in Eilat
Avia Magen, former CEO of the Fattal Hotel Chain in Israel, has partnered with businessman Kobi Maimon to establish a new hotel chain. The venture will initially include six hotels, five of which are currently under construction with a total of 1,100 rooms. These hotels are located in Tel Aviv (Sarona Hotel), Haifa (HaMoshava Hotel), Jerusalem (HaLeom Hotel), Netanya (Sha'ar HaYam Hotel), and Eilat (Suites Hotel). The sixth hotel is the Princess Hotel in Eilat, undergoing advanced renovations and set to reopen with 420 rooms.
The largest property in the chain will be the Sarona Hotel in Tel Aviv, featuring 800 rooms and a conference center. The new chain will be managed through a limited partnership formed between Magen and Airport City, a company controlled by Kobi Maimon and Haim Zuf. Each party will hold 49.95% of the limited partnership, which will serve as the management arm for the hotels and may also manage hotels for external clients.
Magen and Airport City will equally hold the general partner's regular shares, with Airport City receiving two management shares and Magen one. The partnership will collect management fees from the hotels it operates. Kobi Maimon and Haim Zuf described the move into hotel management as a significant strategic step for Airport City, emphasizing the importance of partnering with an experienced and capable manager with a long-term business vision.
Avia Magen, who will serve as both partner and CEO of the management chain, stated that the company’s establishment is an opportunity to build a foundational organizational culture, professional standards, and a hospitality concept tailored to the evolving hotel industry.
