Travelers Hotels Network to Invest $8 Million in New Achziv Resort

After nearly two decades, the Travelers Hotels Network is concluding its operations at the Gesher HaZiv Hotel at the end of October, choosing not to renew its lease with Kibbutz Gesher HaZiv. Instead, the network is redirecting its investments in the region to a new project in Achziv, where it plans to invest approximately NIS 30 million (around $8 million USD) in renovating and developing a new hotel.

The management of the Gesher HaZiv hotel will transition to the "HaChof Shel Mush" group, with the agreement of Kibbutz Gesher HaZiv. This move marks the end of a significant chapter for the Travelers Hotels Network in the Western Galilee, having operated the Gesher HaZiv hotel for about twenty years.

The network emphasizes that this decision is not a withdrawal from the area but a strategic shift to invest in a new venture in a prominent tourist zone. The new Achziv hotel is slated to offer diverse accommodation options, including 48 hotel rooms, two villas, and 25 glamping units, all designed to leverage the area's natural beauty and sea views. A restaurant open to the public, alongside a dining room for hotel guests, will also be part of the facility.

The project, designed by Oren Architects, with interior design by HaMeiri Designers and landscape architecture by Efrat Cohen Aral, is expected to feature 76 lodging options in total. The renovation and development are projected to cost around NIS 30 million, with an anticipated opening in late 2027. This new establishment aims to bolster the network's presence in the Western Galilee, continuing its philosophy of connecting lodging with nature and travel.

Bat Chen, CEO and founder of Travelers Hotels Network, acknowledged the significance of leaving Gesher HaZiv, expressing gratitude to the kibbutz for their long-standing collaboration and trust.
