Travelers Hotels Network Invests $7.5 Million in New Achziv Resort

After nearly two decades, the Israeli hotel chain Travelers Hotels Network is moving from its Gesher HaZiv hotel to a new, larger project in Achziv, investing approximately 30 million shekels (about $7.5 million USD). The company will cease operations at the Gesher HaZiv hotel, which it has managed since 2007, at the end of October.

Travelers Hotels Network was not the owner of the Gesher HaZiv property but operated it under a lease agreement with the kibbutz. The chain decided not to renew the lease, and with the kibbutz's agreement, the hotel's operation will be transferred to the "Ha'hof Shel Mosh" group, which already manages a complex in Achziv.

The move represents a strategic shift for Travelers Hotels Network, replacing a relatively small, established property with a significantly larger development. The Gesher HaZiv hotel has 28 guest units, while the planned Achziv hotel will feature 76 rooms, nearly tripling the capacity. The investment of 30 million shekels averages around 395,000 shekels per room, encompassing renovations, infrastructure, and common areas.

The new Achziv hotel is slated for construction near the beach and will operate under the chain's signature concept, integrating hospitality with outdoor activities and tours. The project is expected to open by the end of 2027. This expansion marks a significant increase from earlier plans for Achziv, which envisioned a 60-unit resort.

Concurrently, "Ha'hof Shel Mosh" will take over the management of the 28-unit Gesher HaZiv hotel, expanding its existing hospitality presence in the Western Galilee region. Travelers Hotels Network is also developing another hotel, "Agam" in Tel Qatzir near the Sea of Galilee, scheduled to open in 2027, and recently expanded its Village hotel with 35 cabins.
