Massive Drug Bust in Israel Yields $25 Million in Seized Narcotics

Israeli police have seized a massive cache of drugs valued at approximately 90 million shekels (about $25 million USD) in the central Israeli village of Ahisamakh. The operation targeted a property suspected of being a central distribution hub for a large-scale drug trafficking network.

During the raid, officers discovered a vehicle containing large quantities of dangerous drugs intended for distribution. Authorities estimate the street value of the seized substances to be around 90 million shekels, marking it as one of the most significant drug seizures in Israel in recent years.

Three suspects, all in their 20s and residents of central Israel, were arrested in connection with the operation. They are currently being interrogated by the interrogation department of the Jerusalem District Police. Their detention has been extended by the Magistrate's Court until September 23.

The confiscated drugs include approximately 94 kilograms of suspected cocaine, 39 kilograms of suspected ecstasy tablets, 25 kilograms of suspected MDMA, 298 vials of ketamine, 158 grams of suspected 'dosa' (a type of synthetic drug), 5 vials of LSD, and over a kilogram of various bulk illicit substances.

In a separate incident last week, police and National Guard forces intercepted a vehicle on Highway 40, seizing approximately 2 kilograms of suspected crystal methamphetamine valued at about 3 million shekels ($830,000 USD). Four foreign workers from Thailand, aged in their 30s and 40s, were arrested in that operation and are undergoing further investigation.
