Police Bust Major Drug Ring, Seize Weapons in Multiple Raids

Jerusalem District police conducted a large-scale raid in the moshav of Ahi'samakh, uncovering a major drug distribution center. During the operation, officers seized a vehicle filled with illicit substances, including cocaine, ecstasy, MDMA, and ketamine, with an estimated street value of 90 million shekels. Three local men, aged 20 to 30, were arrested on suspicion of involvement in the drug network.

In a separate operation, border police and officers from the Northern District searched a stable in the village of Maghar, finding a hidden arsenal within a refrigerator. The confiscated weapons included a Carlo submachine gun, a Brus rifle with ammunition, and a fragmentation grenade.

Further north, police in Afula apprehended a 24-year-old man from the village of Sulam. He was found under suspicious circumstances near a residential building and was found to be in possession of a military-grade hand grenade and evidence of illegal activity.

In Tamra, police responded to reports of gunfire, pursuing and apprehending a suspect on a motorcycle who was found to be carrying a firearm. Two individuals sustained minor injuries and received medical attention. Investigations into all incidents are ongoing.
