Israeli Police Seize Drugs Worth 2 Million Shekels in Lod, Arrest Two Suspects

Israeli police uncovered drugs valued at approximately 2 million shekels in several locations in Lod during a focused operation. The seizure included about 2.5 kilograms of heroin, crystal meth, ecstasy, and cannabis. Alongside the narcotics, hundreds of test tubes, scales, and other equipment believed to be used for drug distribution were confiscated.

The operation took place in the HaRakevet neighborhood and surrounding areas of Lod, involving a special task force from the Central District Police, Lod Police Station, the Border Police, and the Central District's canine unit. Two young men in their twenties, residents of Lod, were arrested and taken in for questioning.

All seized items were sent for further forensic analysis to the police criminal identification laboratories. Authorities emphasized that this crackdown is part of an intensified effort to combat violent crime and drug trafficking in Lod and its vicinity, targeting criminal elements in the area.
