Israeli Police Seize Multi-Million Shekel Cocaine and Drugs in Southern Operation Using Police Dog Sky
Israeli police forces, including the Magan Unit of the Southern District, Border Police fighters, and the district canine unit, conducted a targeted operation on Monday in a residential compound in the Bir al-Hadid area. During the search, guided by the police dog Sky, officers discovered a suitcase containing a drone, its remote control, and batteries, along with three additional drone controllers found in a warehouse on the premises.
The dog indicated three suspicious spots in and around the compound, where police found approximately 12 kilograms of suspected hashish, four blocks of suspected cocaine weighing about 4 kilograms in total, and a bag containing suspected marijuana. Night vision equipment was also seized. All items were transferred to the Shegev Shalom police station for further investigation.
Authorities estimate the total value of the seized drugs and the economic damage to criminal organizations at several million shekels. The drugs are believed to have been smuggled into Israel. This operation highlights ongoing efforts by Israeli security forces to combat drug trafficking in the southern region.
