Massive Drug Haul Worth Millions Seized in Jerusalem Area

Israeli police have dismantled a suspected major drug trafficking network, confiscating an estimated 90 million shekels (approximately $24 million USD) worth of narcotics in a raid on a compound in the moshav Ahisamakh, believed to be a central hub for the organization. The operation, led by the Jerusalem District's central unit, resulted in one of the largest drug seizures in Israel in recent years.

During the operation, police intercepted a vehicle where suspects were allegedly loading the drugs for distribution. Officers seized approximately 94 kg of suspected cocaine, 39 kg of suspected ecstasy tablets, and 25 kg of suspected MDMA. The haul also included 298 vials of ketamine, 158 grams of a substance known as "dosa," five vials of LSD, and over a kilogram of various bulk narcotics.

Three men in their twenties, residents of central Israel, were arrested on suspicion of managing and trafficking the drugs. They have been transferred to the Jerusalem police's investigation unit, and their remand was extended by the court until September 23.

This significant bust follows another major drug seizure in Eilat just one week prior, where two kilograms of suspected methamphetamine, valued at three million shekels, were found in a vehicle on Route 40, leading to the arrest of four Thai workers.
