National Insurance Advances Payouts Ahead of Sukkot Holiday
The National Insurance Institute in Israel has begun distributing September benefits, with several payments advanced due to the upcoming Sukkot holiday. On Tuesday, September 22, 2026, long-term benefit payments were moved up and deposited into recipients' accounts. This advance includes payments for the elderly, survivors, work injury victims, alimony, disability, mobility, long-term care, and prisoners of Zion.
This advance follows the earlier payment of child benefits, which were disbursed just two days prior. Previously, for the Rosh Hashanah holiday, the National Insurance Institute had also advanced the payment of unemployment and income support benefits for September, with these payments made on September 8, 2026, just before the holiday.
Additionally, the deadline for self-employed individuals and employers to report and pay their insurance contributions was September 15. The institute is making these adjustments to ensure beneficiaries receive their funds before the holiday period.
