Two Israeli men, both about 40, were killed overnight in a single-vehicle crash in the Malibu area of Los Angeles, according to the report published June 21, 2026. One of the victims lived in Los Angeles with his wife and children.
The accident happened in the tourist-heavy Malibu area, and the case is still being handled by local authorities in the United States. ZAKA’s international unit said it was activated as soon as the incident was reported.
ZAKA has been working with U.S. officials and the victims’ families to help with identification, documentation, and the other arrangements required after the deaths. Families of the deceased contacted ZAKA’s international hotline and requested assistance.
Haim Weingarten, ZAKA’s deputy operations director, said the unit is cooperating with U.S. authorities and accompanying the families “in everything needed.” He added, “We are assisting with the identification process and advancing the necessary procedures for continued treatment.” ZAKA representatives have been on site since overnight.
