Israeli Shelling and Fire Injure Civilians in Central and Southern Gaza
Several civilians were injured, including a woman with serious wounds, on Monday, September 21, 2026, due to Israeli military shelling and gunfire in central and southern Gaza. Medical sources reported that the woman sustained critical injuries from Israeli forces firing towards displaced persons' tents located between the Al-Bureij and Al-Maghazi camps in the central Gaza Strip. A child was also injured in the incident.
Further reports indicated that civilians were wounded by Israeli artillery shelling that targeted displaced persons' tents in the Al-Amal neighborhood, west of Khan Younis. In the Halawa camp, north of Gaza, a woman was also hit by Israeli forces' gunfire.
In a separate incident, two citizens were injured when Israeli artillery targeted a house belonging to the Abu Al-Rous family in the "Block 12" area, east of the Al-Bureij camp in central Gaza.
Additionally, Israeli naval vessels pursued fishermen at sea, firing heavily at them and forcing them to leave the water.
