Gaza Health Ministry Reports 6 Dead, 27 Injured in 48 Hours

Over the past 48 hours, six individuals were killed and 27 others injured by Israeli fire in Gaza, according to reports. The bodies of 11 additional Palestinians were recovered during this period. These incidents bring the total number of casualties from alleged Israeli "violations" since October 11 to 1,344 dead and 4,464 injured, with 815 bodies recovered.

The Gaza Ministry of Health stated that the overall death toll from the "Israeli war of extermination" since October 7, 2023, has reached 73,651, with 174,575 wounded. This figure includes 160 additional fatalities confirmed in August after data verification.

Medical sources at Al-Shifa Hospital reported the arrival of a child with moderate injuries after Israeli forces allegedly fired on displaced persons' camps in the Al-Sudaniyah area, northwest of Gaza City. In eastern Gaza City, Israeli "Quadcopter" drones dropped explosive devices on homes in the Al-Shati and Al-Shuja'iya market areas early Saturday, with no reported injuries. Heavy gunfire from Israeli vehicles positioned east of the city accompanied these strikes.

Further incidents in central Gaza involved Israeli vehicles firing east of Deir al-Balah and the Bureij camp. Areas east of Gaza City also experienced gunfire and artillery shelling. In the southern Gaza Strip, Israeli artillery fired shells towards northwestern Rafah, while Israeli vehicles intensely fired on areas south of Khan Younis. Israeli naval vessels also fired towards the city's coast.

These events on Saturday followed Friday's reported casualties, including two deaths and several injuries from Israeli attacks across Gaza, including Gaza City. A three-year-old girl sustained severe head injuries from gunfire directed at displaced persons' tents in Khan Younis.
