Israeli Forces Conduct Widespread Raids, Arrests Across West Bank and Jerusalem

Israeli forces conducted extensive raids and arrest campaigns across the West Bank and East Jerusalem on Monday, searching homes and detaining dozens of Palestinians. In East Jerusalem, Israeli forces sealed the entrances to the village of Umm Tuba with concrete blocks, restricting movement for residents and isolating the village. Additional roadblocks and checkpoints were established in various areas of East Jerusalem, including the towns of Biddu, Anata, and Hizma, as well as in the town of Al-Ram, where tear gas was fired at homes.

In Biddu, northwest of Jerusalem, forces arrested dozens of young men. The Jerusalem Governorate reported that approximately 53 young men were being held at an investigation center established in a seized home, with reports of property damage and assaults on residents.

Raids also occurred in the Ramallah and al-Bireh Governorate, targeting the towns of Al-Mughayyer and Deir Dibwan, among other areas. Similar operations, including house searches and vehicle inspections, took place in the Jenin, Tubas, Qalqilya, Nablus, Bethlehem, and Hebron Governorates, resulting in the arrest of several young men.

These actions coincide with heightened Israeli military measures in the West Bank and Jerusalem, particularly increased restrictions on Palestinian movement in Jerusalem during Jewish holidays.
