Israeli Forces Conduct Widespread Arrests and Raids Across West Bank

Israeli forces carried out extensive raids in various areas and towns across the occupied West Bank early Monday, including the cities of Jenin and Tubas. During the operations, which involved searching Palestinian homes, forces arrested over 15 Palestinians. Among those detained was former prisoner Yahya Hafez Daraghmeh, seized from his home in Tubas after his release in a prisoner exchange deal.

In the Ramallah area, Israeli troops severely beat a 47-year-old man, Zaid Ladadweh, and his son during a raid on their home in the village of Al-Mazra'a al-Gharbiya, leaving them with moderate injuries. Four Palestinians were arrested in the village of Jalbun, east of Jenin, following house searches. Three young men were detained in the town of Qabatiya, south of Jenin.

Further arrests were reported in Bethlehem, where George Saadeh and his son Julian were detained, along with Raed Mohammed Ramadan from the Deheisheh refugee camp and Mohammed Odeh from the Aida refugee camp. In the Nablus area, Adel Maqbel Salem Safadi was arrested after his home in the village of 'Ourif was raided and ransacked. In Hebron, Youssef Naim Sabbarnah was arrested from his home in Beit Ummar, and Ziad Badawi Hamdan was detained in the village of Al-Tabaqa.

Israeli military vehicles were seen in Jenin and Tubas, with forces raiding homes and searching neighborhoods. Similar raids occurred in several villages in the Jenin governorate, including Deir Abu Da'if and Jalamah. The towns of Al-Lubban al-Sharqiya and 'Ourif, south of Nablus, were also raided, as was an area in Beit Fajjar, south of Bethlehem.

These actions are part of ongoing, intensive Israeli arrest campaigns in the West Bank. Recent weeks have seen dozens of Palestinians detained, including former prisoners, children, and women. Since October 2023, the total number of Palestinians arrested has exceeded 25,000.
