Israeli Forces Conduct Widespread Raids Across West Bank, Detain Over 15 Palestinians

Israeli forces conducted extensive raids across multiple cities and towns in the West Bank on Tuesday, detaining at least 15 Palestinians. In Tubas, the army arrested Yahya Hafez Daraghmeh, a former prisoner released in a previous exchange deal, after raiding his home. In the village of Al-Mazra'a Al-Gharbiya, northwest of Ramallah, soldiers severely beat 47-year-old Zaid Ladadweh and his son during a home invasion, leaving them with moderate injuries.

Further arrests occurred in the village of Jilbon, east of Jenin, where four Palestinians were detained after their homes were raided. These included Sheikh Yousef Abu Al-Rob, Tawfiq Abu Al-Rob, Mashhour Abu Al-Rob, and Fajr Abu Al-Rob. In Qabatiya, south of Jenin, three young men, Mohammed Abu Al-Sharif, Ahmed Abu Zeitoun, and Ahmed Zakarnah Abu Hamidi, were arrested following searches of the town.

In the Bethlehem Governorate, George Saadeh and his son Julian were arrested from their home, along with Raed Mohammed Ramadan from the Deheisheh refugee camp and Mohammed Odeh from the Aida refugee camp. In the Nablus Governorate, the army raided the village of Huwara and arrested Adel Maqbel Salem Safadi after searching his home and causing damage. Raids also took place in the villages of Lubban al-Sharqiya and Huwara.

In the Hebron Governorate, Youssef Naeem Sabbarnah was arrested from his home in Beit Ummar, and Ziad Badawi Hamdan was detained in the village of Al-Tabaqa near Dura after his home was searched. The military also raided the Wadi Susa area in Beit Fajjar, south of Bethlehem.

These operations are part of a broader escalation in daily Israeli arrests in the West Bank, which have seen dozens of Palestinians detained in recent days, including former prisoners, women, and children. Since October 2023, the total number of Palestinians arrested has exceeded 25,000.
