Israeli Forces Raid West Bank; Settlers Attack Palestinians

Israeli forces conducted raids and searches in multiple West Bank areas early Sunday, leading to detentions and arrests. Simultaneously, Israeli settlers attacked Palestinians, their vehicles, and property across various locations. In Jericho, settlers hurled stones at Palestinian vehicles near the settlement of Metzpe Yericho, while others, under Israeli military protection, entered the city. Settlers also attacked two Palestinians in the Wadi al-Sha'er area between Al-Lubban al-Sharqiya village and Salfit, with the Palestinian Red Crescent reporting one stabbing victim and another head injury.

In Hebron, settlers entered the Old City accompanied by Israeli forces. Nablus also saw similar settler incursions, with settlers entering the village of Huwara and performing Talmudic rituals at the "Al-Uzeir" shrine. Israeli forces raided streets and villages around Nablus, detaining a young man in the Al-Makhfiya neighborhood.

Further raids occurred in the Jenin governorate, with forces entering towns like Qabatiya and Maythalun, and in Tubas, where a home was raided and a resident, Ayman Qassem, was arrested. In Qalqilya, forces raided homes in Kafr Thulth. Settlers also cut down 30 olive trees belonging to a farmer in Khirbet Firasin, near Ya'bad in Jenin.

In Jerusalem, settler groups called for gatherings near the Mercy Gate, outside the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, for a pre-Yom Kippur ritual. The Jerusalem Governorate noted these calls followed similar Talmudic prayers at the site last Thursday, highlighting increased activity by Temple Mount groups around Al-Aqsa, attempting to establish Jewish religious practices near the site and an Islamic cemetery.
