Israeli Forces Raid West Bank, Jerusalem; Settlers Attack Palestinians

Israeli forces conducted widespread raids across the West Bank and East Jerusalem early Wednesday, searching homes, detaining residents for field interrogations, and clashing with Palestinians. In the East Jerusalem town of Hizma, forces fired tear gas during confrontations. In Jenin, forces raided the al-Bsatine neighborhood and the town of Yamoun, arresting Palestinians and using Eitan armored vehicles. Nablus saw incursions into the city and the village of Qaryut, with homes searched. In Ramallah, forces raided homes in Beit Rima, firing live ammunition and tear gas, injuring two youths. In Hebron, forces raided the al-Zahed area, set up a checkpoint, and arrested Othman al-Hashlamoun after assaulting him.

Concurrently, Israeli settlers carried out attacks on Palestinians and their property. Settlers attacked the home of Mohammed Adweian in the Ramallah area. In eastern Nablus, settlers in military-style clothing assaulted Osama Badie Khatatbeh. Two Palestinians were injured in separate attacks by forces and settlers in Aqrabah and Beit Fourik. In Aqrabah, soldiers beat Mohammed Shehadeh Bani Mounieh, who was hospitalized. In Bethlehem, settlers, protected by the army, stole sheep from the village of Kisan.
