Israeli Man Killed in West Bank Terror Attack Near Neve Tzuf

Natanel Shicron, a resident of the settlement of Ali Zahav in Samaria and a father of six, was killed in a shooting attack near the settlement of Neve Tzuf on Sunday. Shicron, an IT systems analyst, was at a spring with his eldest son to immerse himself ahead of Yom Kippur when the assailant arrived, exited his vehicle with a rifle, and opened fire at close range. He was evacuated to Beilinson Hospital in critical condition, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival in the trauma unit.

Regional Council head Yossi Dagan eulogized Shicron as a "man of kindness, humble and loving," and a devoted family man. Shicron's wife, Dr. Mirav Shicron, is a lecturer at Ariel University. The couple's eldest child is in 11th grade, and the youngest is four years old.

Initial reports indicate that after the attack, a tracker present in the area shot and wounded the terrorist before he could flee. Shortly after, soldiers from the Duvdevan Unit apprehended the wounded suspect in a hospital bed in Ramallah. He surrendered without his weapon.

In response to the attack, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered the IDF and Shin Bet to increase forces in the West Bank, impose blockades, conduct offensive operations, make arrests, and immediately demolish the terrorist's home.
