Man Killed in West Bank Shooting Identified as Natanel Shkaron

Natanel Shkaron, a resident of the Ali Zahav settlement in the Samaria region, was killed in a shooting attack near the settlement of Neve Tzuf in the Binyamin region on Thursday morning. Shkaron, a father of six, was at the Ein Ra'aya spring with his eldest son to immerse himself before Yom Kippur. He is survived by his wife, Dr. Meirav Shkaron, a lecturer at Ariel University, and their six children, the eldest in 11th grade and the youngest aged four. Shkaron worked as a high-tech professional and information systems analyst for Hachshara Insurance Company.

Samaria Regional Council head Yossi Dagan, speaking from the family's home, described Shkaron as a kind and humble man, part of a long-standing family in Ali Zahav. Dagan stated that the incident would not break the spirit of settlement in Samaria and called for a shift from defense to offense by security forces, including operations in the area, weapon collection, and the re-establishment of security checkpoints.

The community of Ali Zahav expressed its grief over the loss of Shkaron, remembering him as a beloved figure, devoted husband, and father. They pledged continued support for his wife and children. Social services and the local emergency team from the Samaria Regional Council are providing support to the bereaved family.
