In a Facebook post, Yakov Buzaglo expressed pride in his son and family, stating, "I am not ashamed. On the contrary. I am proud. Proud of my family and will continue to be proud of it, in good times and bad." He criticized those who mocked Almog's situation, urging them to "look at yourselves first." Buzaglo emphasized that his son's decision to share his struggles was a brave act of honesty, not a joke, and that it sends an important message about not hiding difficult life moments.

Buzaglo also addressed what he perceived as politically motivated criticism, suggesting some negative comments were aimed at him personally due to his "proud leftist" views. He thanked those who used the situation to attack him, stating it only strengthens his resolve to speak his mind without fear. He added, "Remember one simple thing, there is no family without difficult moments."
