Rabid Dog Found in Northern West Bank Settlement
The Ministry of Health reported on September 18, 2026, the discovery of a dog infected with rabies in the settlement of Hermesh. Individuals who came into contact with the dog or with stray animals in the area between September 1 and September 18 are urged to urgently contact the Netanya Health Bureau or the nearest bureau to their residence to assess the need for preventive treatment. After working hours, individuals should report to the emergency room. In the event of a bite or scratch, the affected area should be washed with running water and soap for approximately 10 minutes, disinfected, and then promptly reported to the Health Bureau.
