Israeli Wheelchair Tennis Team Wins World Championship Bronze
The Israeli national wheelchair tennis team (Quad division) has secured a bronze medal at the World Championships held in Orlando, Florida. The team defeated Chile 2-1 in the match for third place. The Israeli roster included Guy Sasson, Roi Avigdor, and London Paralympics champion Noam Gershoni.
Gershoni lost his singles match to Chile's Diego Perez with a score of 4-6, 5-7. However, Guy Sasson secured a decisive victory in his singles match, defeating Francisco Cayulef 6-1, 6-2. The doubles match saw Sasson and Gershoni triumph over Perez and Cayulef with a score of 6-1, 6-3.
