Armored Land Cruiser with Bulletproof Glass Seized Near Deir Hanna
Israeli police on September 16th stopped a 42-year-old resident of Deir Hanna, in northern Israel, while he was driving an armored Land Cruiser. The vehicle was equipped with steel plates and thick glass, modifications police stated were illegal and posed a danger to other road users.
The incident occurred during a Northern District police operation on Route 805 near the town. Police observed the armored vehicle and subsequently stopped the driver, taking him and the vehicle into custody for investigation.
Authorities explained that such heavy, illegal armor significantly impacts a vehicle's handling and road behavior, increasing risks for everyone. Police emphasized their ongoing efforts to combat vehicles with illegal structural modifications and vowed to continue enforcing the law against owners who install unauthorized armor or make other illegal changes.
