Armored SUV Modified Illegally Seized Near Deir Hana
Northern District Police officers on a nighttime operation against life-threatening "thuggery" offenses identified a Land Cruiser SUV on Highway 805 near Deir Hana that had undergone illegal structural modifications to become a bulletproof vehicle. During an inspection, steel plates and exceptionally thick windows were discovered, posing a significant risk to other road users due to the vehicle's heavy weight and its impact on driving stability.
The driver, a 42-year-old resident of Deir Hana, was arrested at the scene and taken for questioning at the police station. Police emphasized that their fight against criminals who illegally install heavy armor will continue with all available means, aiming to neutralize the deadly danger these vehicles pose on the roads.
