Israeli Police Foil Attempted Theft of Armored Vehicles in Southern Israel
Over the past weekend, police officers from the Ayarot station in the Southern District of Israel prevented an attempted theft of armored vehicles known as "MIGONIOT." The incident occurred near the entrance to the Al-Atrash tribe settlement in the Rotem area. Upon receiving a report of suspicious loading activity involving MIGONIOT onto trucks, officers quickly arrived at the scene and found two trucks allegedly used for the theft attempt. The police halted the operation and arrested the two truck drivers, residents of Kseifa and Rahat in their twenties, who were taken to the Ayarot station for further investigation.
One of the armored vehicles involved was documented during the attempted loading. Ayarot station commander Superintendent Yehav Siman emphasized the swift police response, stating that the quick action prevented the theft of vehicles intended for saving lives and protecting the public. He further pledged continued determined efforts to combat threats to public security and property, promising to hold those involved accountable.
