Police Seize Anti-Tank Missile and Ammunition in Central Israel Raids
In a coordinated operation targeting the illicit flow of weapons from the IDF, police forces conducted a search in a residential complex in Ramla, central Israel. During the search, officers discovered a LAW anti-tank missile and arrested one suspect.
In a separate, but related, operation in the nearby city of Lod, police forces confiscated a large quantity of ammunition and detained a second suspect for questioning. The operations were carried out by units including the Special Patrol Unit (YASAM) of the Shfela region, the Central District Serious Crimes Unit (YAMAR), the Border Police (MAGAV), and the Ramla and Lod police stations.
The raids are part of an ongoing effort by Israeli police to combat the diversion of military-grade weapons from the Israel Defense Forces into civilian hands.
