Elite Israeli Forces Capture Senior Hamas Operative in Nablus Raid

Elite Israeli counter-terrorism forces, known as the Gideonim (Unit 33) from Lahav 433, in a joint operation with the Shin Bet security agency, apprehended a senior Palestinian militant in the Balata refugee camp near Nablus (Shechem) on Tuesday night. The target, a 35-year-old resident of Kafr Qallil identified as a Tanzim operative with high-level access to weapons, was considered a high-priority fugitive by Israeli security forces.

During the covert operation, forces entered the building where the suspect was located. Upon identification, the operative actively resisted arrest and attempted to flee. In response, Israeli soldiers fired precisely at his lower body, neutralizing him and preventing his escape. The operative sustained leg injuries and was subsequently apprehended and handcuffed.

Following initial medical treatment by paramedics on-site, the operative was transferred to Shin Bet facilities for further investigation. No Israeli forces were injured during the operation. The Shin Bet has not yet released further details regarding the operative's specific role or the intelligence that led to the raid.
