Prisoner Charged for Assaulting Right-Wing Activist, Threatening 'Settlers'

A legal indictment has been filed against two inmates, including a member of the prominent Hariri family, for assaulting right-wing activist Tal Yinon Dardik in Nitzan Prison. The incident occurred last weekend in the courtyard of Wing 2, where Dardik was involved in an argument with the two criminal offenders. The inmates then allegedly attacked Dardik, punching him in the face. During the assault, one of the attackers threatened Dardik, saying, "You are settlers, we will kill you."

Dardik sustained injuries near his eye and required medical attention. The indictment was filed by the Israel Prison Service's investigation unit against Muhallal Agbaria-Hariri, son of Yahya Hariri, a senior figure in the Hariri family, and Ibrahim Gurban, who is also accused of gang-raping a 13-year-old girl in Netanya.

This incident follows a separate indictment filed against Tal Yinon Dardik two weeks prior for violating an administrative restraining order issued by the Central Command's commander. The order required Dardik to report to the police station in Modi'in Illit twice daily. Police had stated at the time that Dardik's violation posed a significant security risk during a sensitive period, potentially leading to unrest and endangering public safety.
