Prisoner Charged After Assaulting Settler, Threatening 'We Will Kill You'

A legal indictment has been filed against two inmates accused of assaulting Tal Yinnon Dardik, a settler, in Nitzan Prison on the last weekend. During the altercation in Wing 2, two criminal inmates allegedly attacked Dardik, punching him in the face. One of the assailants reportedly threatened Dardik, saying, "You are settlers, we will kill you." Dardik sustained an injury near his eye and required medical attention.

The indictment was filed Thursday against Muhalel Agabaria-Hariri, son of a senior figure in the Hariri family, and Ibrahim Gurban. Gurban is also accused of gang-raping a 13-year-old girl in Netanya. The investigation was conducted by the Israel Prison Service.

Dardik himself was arrested in the north two weeks prior for violating a restraining order that prohibited him from approaching the Samaria region five times. He had been released unconditionally just a month earlier, following a 38-day hunger strike. His release came after he challenged an administrative order issued by the Central Command's General Avi Blott, which led to his hunger strike. A judge had criticized the conduct of the Judea and Samaria District Police during that process.
