Top Rabbis to Pray for Donors on Yom Kippur Eve

As the Jewish year תשפ"ו concludes and תשפ"ז begins, a special prayer gathering will be held on the eve of Yom Kippur, the Day of Judgment. This event aims to leverage the traditional concepts of repentance, prayer, and charity to bring blessings for the new year.

More than a minyan (quorum) of prominent rabbis and tzaddikim (righteous individuals) will convene at the modest home of Rabbi Dan Segal. This gathering is particularly significant as Rabbi Segal is observing a forty-day period of "speech fast" and is making an exception to host this event. He will be joined by members of the Councils of Torah Sages, yeshiva deans, and community leaders.

The prayer service is being organized for donors to 'Kupat Ha'ir,' a charity endorsed by many leading rabbis. The names of these donors will be presented before a rabbinical court, where the assembled sages will pray for their spiritual and material well-being in the coming year. The prayers will focus on the merits of the donors' repentance, their confessions, and their charitable contributions through Kupat Ha'ir.

Following the prayer service, a special document titled 'Guaranteed for Life' will be signed by the rabbis for those who commit to regular monthly donations to support impoverished families and needy Torah scholars. This document will include blessings for prosperity, success, health, joy, and abundant blessings from heaven. The event is scheduled to take place on the eve of Yom Kippur, just before the final sealing of judgments.
