Top Rabbis to Lead Prayer Event for Donors Ahead of Rosh Hashanah
As the Hebrew year 5786 concludes, a special prayer event is being organized for the eve of Rosh Hashanah 5787, aiming to secure blessings for the coming year. The event, centered around the principles of repentance, prayer, and charity, offers individuals an opportunity to contribute to the "Kupat Ha'ir" charity, which is endorsed by leading rabbis.
This gathering will convene at the home of Rabbi David Landau, a prominent rabbinic leader, where a rabbinical court of ten esteemed rabbis will perform a ceremony. The court will address the names of donors to Kupat Ha'ir, conducting a ritual to annul any potential curses and offering prayers for a prosperous year, both spiritually and materially. The organizers emphasize that the donors' act of charity, coupled with their contemplation of repentance and confession, will ensure the prayers are accepted.
Following the prayer ceremony, a separate event will take place for donors who commit to regular monthly contributions to support impoverished families and Torah scholars. These donors will receive a special document titled 'Guaranteed for Life,' personally signed by the participating rabbis. The document will include blessings for prosperity, success, health, joy, and abundance in all aspects of life.
The rabbinical court is expected to include Rabbi Mordechai Hirshel, Rabbi Shimon Galai, Rabbi Shimon Rosenberg, Rabbi Shimon Steinman, Rabbi Moshe Shmuel Edelstein, Rabbi Shimon Zev Rosenblatt, Rabbi Meir Ben Shimon, Rabbi Nachum Zochovsky, and other significant Torah scholars.
