Top Rabbi to Pray for Donors During Yom Kippur Eve Service

Rabbi Dov Landau, a leading figure in the Lithuanian ultra-Orthodox community and head of the Slabodka Yeshiva, has announced he will pray for a select list of donors to the 'Kupat Ha'ir' charity. The prayer will take place during the 'Kol Nidrei' service on Yom Kippur eve, a time considered particularly auspicious for prayer.

Donors contributing to Kupat Ha'ir, which supports impoverished families, will have their names read aloud by Rabbi Landau during the solemn service. He will specifically pray for their well-being, long life, health, and for the cancellation of any harsh decrees. Individuals wishing to be included on the prayer list are encouraged to donate 314 shekels, a sum corresponding to the numerical value (gematria) of 'Kol Nidrei.' The charity stresses the urgency of donating promptly to ensure inclusion in this special prayer opportunity.
