Hapoel Tel Aviv is pursuing Jordan Nwora, the 27-year-old, 2.03-meter swingman from Crvena zvezda, as it prepares for next season while still competing in the playoff final. The Israeli club sees him as one of the biggest names likely to be available this summer and has already conveyed its intentions to his agent.
Although Nwora’s contract with Crvena zvezda includes an option for another season, Hapoel has told his representative that it is willing to compensate the Serbian club if it activates that option. The Reds are prepared to use several ways to get the deal done, including a buyout of at least $1 million.
Nwora just completed the best European season of his career, averaging 16.9 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.1 steals per game in the EuroLeague. He shot 54.9% on two-pointers, 35.6% from three and 80.6% from the foul line, finishing sixth in the league’s scoring race this season.
Selected 45th in the 2020 NBA Draft, Nwora played 219 NBA games for Milwaukee, Indiana and Toronto. He first arrived in Europe in the 2024/25 season with Anadolu Efes, but struggled there and averaged 7.6 points in 16:49 minutes per EuroLeague game. This year, however, he emerged as one of the EuroLeague’s most dominant players and a major target for the upcoming summer market.
