Jordan Nwora Extends Contract with Crvena Zvezda, Won't Join Hapoel Tel Aviv
Jordan Nwora, the 27-year-old swingman standing 2.03 meters tall, will remain with Serbian basketball club Crvena Zvezda until 2028, rejecting interest from Israeli team Hapoel Tel Aviv. Reports from Serbia confirm that Nwora exercised the option to extend his contract by two years after negotiations, despite Hapoel Tel Aviv being prepared to pay $1 million to secure his transfer.
Nwora had a breakout season in the EuroLeague, averaging 16.9 points per game with impressive shooting percentages (54.9% two-point, 35.6% three-point, and 80.6% free throws), along with 4.4 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.1 steals per game. He ranked sixth in scoring in the EuroLeague this past season.
Drafted 45th overall in 2020, Nwora played 219 NBA games for Milwaukee Bucks, Indiana Pacers, and Toronto Raptors before moving to Europe in the 2024/2025 season with Anadolu Efes. After a challenging first European season averaging 7.6 points in limited minutes, he emerged as a dominant player last year. Next season, he will join teammates Chris Jones and Jonathan Motley aiming for a stronger team performance in the EuroLeague.
