Jordan Nwora Extends Contract with Crvena Zvezda, Won't Join Hapoel Tel Aviv
Jordan Nwora, the 27-year-old swingman standing 2.03 meters tall, will remain with Serbian basketball club Crvena Zvezda, extending his contract until 2028. Despite interest from Israeli team Hapoel Tel Aviv, which was reportedly willing to pay $1 million to secure his transfer, Nwora chose to stay after negotiations led to a two-year contract extension.
Nwora had an outstanding season in the EuroLeague, averaging 16.9 points per game with shooting percentages of 54.9% from two-point range, 35.6% from three, and 80.6% from the free-throw line, along with 4.4 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.1 steals per game. He ranked sixth in scoring in the EuroLeague this season.
Drafted 45th overall in 2020, Nwora played 219 NBA games for Milwaukee, Indiana, and Toronto before moving to Europe in 2024/2025 with Anadolu Efes. After a challenging first season in Europe, he emerged as a dominant player last year. Next season, he will play alongside Chris Jones and Jonathan Motley, aiming for a stronger team performance in the EuroLeague.
