Hapoel Tel Aviv is pushing hard to sign Jordan Nwora, the 27-year-old, 2.03-meter swingman from Crvena Zvezda, while the club is in the middle of the Israeli league playoff final and already planning for next season. According to the report published on June 20, 2026 at 19:00, Nwora is one of the top names on the Reds' transfer list because he is expected to be one of the hottest players on the market.
Although Nwora’s current deal with Crvena Zvezda includes an option for one more season, Hapoel has already told his agent it is ready to compensate the Serbian club if they choose to trigger the extension. The Israelis are reportedly willing to go to significant lengths to secure the transfer, including a buyout of at least $1 million.
The club believes Nwora would attract major demand if he enters the open market, and wants to be positioned to complete the move quickly. This season he produced the best campaign of his European career, averaging 16.9 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.1 steals in the EuroLeague, while shooting 54.9% on two-pointers, 35.6% from three and 80.6% from the free-throw line. He finished sixth in the EuroLeague scoring race.
Nwora was selected 45th in the 2020 NBA Draft and played 219 NBA games for Milwaukee, Indiana and Toronto. He first came to Europe in the 2024/25 season with Anadolu Efes, but struggled there and averaged 7.6 points in just 16:49 minutes per EuroLeague game. After that difficult start, he has become one of Europe’s most dominant players this season and a major target heading into the summer.
