Israel National Football Team Coach Names Starting Striker for Austria Match

Ran Ben Shimon, the coach of the Israeli national football team, has decided that Seyd Abu Farhi will start as the striker in the upcoming match against Austria. This decision comes as Ben Shimon finalizes the lineup for the UEFA Nations League campaign, which includes four games: one against Austria, two against Ireland, and one against Kosovo.

Twenty-seven players are expected to be called up for the squad. Eitan Azulai, who is getting married, will join for the third match, while Gabi Kanyukovsky, whose brother is also getting married, will be available for the second game. Abu Farhi, the new forward for Colorado, is the only striker who will not observe Yom Kippur and will arrive in Austria on Sunday, allowing him to adjust to the time difference more quickly. Other forwards named to the squad include Dor Turgeman, Tai Baribo, and Idan Toklomati.

Planned midfield starters are Dor Peretz, Oscar Gloukh, and Eliel Peretz. The attacking line will be completed by Oscar Gloukh, Manor Solomon, and Anan Khalaily. In central defense, Idan Nachmias or Raz Shlomo will play alongside Nikita Stoyanov. Daniel Peretz is set to start in goal, and Roy Revivo will play at left-back.

Stav Lemkin will miss the games due to injury, while Ilai Feingold and Noam Steifman will be called up. Despite not yet signing with a club, Eli Dasa has been training and previously performed well for the national team. Ben Shimon is considering Dasa or Guy Mzrahi for the right-back position. Dasa arrived in Israel yesterday and will train with fitness coach Eran Shado today.
