Israel National Football Team Coach Names Starting Striker for Austria Match

Ran Ben Shimon, the coach of the Israeli national football team, has decided that Seyd Abu Farhi will start as the striker in the upcoming match against Austria. This decision comes as Ben Shimon finalizes the squad and lineup for the opening games of the UEFA Nations League campaign, which includes matches against Austria, Ireland (twice), and Kosovo.

Abu Farhi, the new striker for Colorado, is the only forward on the team who did not observe Yom Kippur and will arrive in Austria on Sunday, allowing him to adjust to the time difference more quickly. Other forwards named to the squad are Dor Turgeman, Tai Baribo, and Idan Toklomati.

Ben Shimon is also planning to field a midfield trio of Dor Peretz, Oscar Gloukh, and Eliel Peretz. The attacking line will be completed by Gloukh, Manor Solomon, and Anan Khalaili. In central defense, either Idan Nachmias or Raz Shlomo will partner Nikita Stoyanov. Daniel Peretz is set to start in goal, withרוי Revivo securing the left-back position.

Several players are expected to receive call-ups, with Eitan Azoulay and Gabi Kaniovsky joining later due to family weddings. Stav Lemkin will miss out due to injury, while Ilai Feingold and Noam Steifman are expected to be included. Coach Ben Shimon is also deliberating between Eli Dasa and Guy Mazer for the right-back position, despite Dasa not yet having signed with a club. Dasa arrived in Israel on Wednesday and is scheduled to train with fitness coach Eran Shado on Thursday.
