Israel National Football Team Squad Announced for Nations League

Alon Hazan, the coach of the Israeli national football team, has announced the squad for the upcoming UEFA Nations League campaign, which begins in less than two weeks. The team will play four matches, starting with an away game against Austria, followed by games against Hungary, Ireland, and Kosovo. The matches against Ireland and Kosovo will be held in Debrecen, Hungary, while a subsequent match against Ireland will take place in Serbia.

Notable inclusions in the squad are Yarden Shua, who has been included despite starting on the bench in recent matches for his club, Beitar Jerusalem. Youngster Noam Steifman has also been called up for the first time, addressing a shortage of defenders. Sayed Abu Farchi earned a spot after his move to MLS, and Eli Dasa was included despite not having played for months due to being without a club. Raz Shlomo and Ilai Feingold are returning to the squad.

However, several players were notably left out, including Dia Saba, who has been performing well in the Turkish league, and Stav Tzuriel, who is in a strong period of form. The core of the team will once again feature players like Daniel Peretz, Oscar Gloukh, Manor Solomon, Anan Khalaili, and Dor Peretz. The coach faces selection challenges in the midfield and attack.
