Tourists Denied Wi-Fi, Called 'Child Murderers' at Italian Restaurant

Israeli tourists experienced an anti-Israel incident in northern Italy when they were verbally abused and expelled from a restaurant after asking for the Wi-Fi password. Gali Hazan recounted the experience on a Facebook travel group, describing how a visit to the 'Jacky' restaurant in Limone sul Garda turned into a display of hatred. According to Hazan, when they inquired about Wi-Fi, a waiter reportedly called them "animals" and "child murderers."

Hazan stated that the restaurant owners ignored the waiter's outburst and instead called the police to remove the Israeli group. She claimed that the responding officers understood the situation and apologized on behalf of the authorities. Hazan reported filing complaints and warned others against visiting the establishment.

This incident reflects a concerning trend of harassment against Israelis and Jews in Italy in recent months. In July, a document circulating online encouraged citizens to report Israeli businesses and tourists to counter "Zionist neo-colonization," which the Union of Italian Jewish Communities condemned as a significant escalation of antisemitism. Additionally, reports have surfaced of Israeli tourists receiving messages from accommodations demanding public denunciation of the Israeli government as a condition for their stay.

Further incidents include a restaurant refusing service to a customer solely because of a Star of David on her Instagram profile, and a Jewish organization's participation in an event in Rome being canceled after its representatives refused to condemn Israel.
