Herzog Vows Intervention if Needed Post-Election for Stable Government

President Isaac Herzog stated on Thursday that he is prepared to intervene if necessary to help form a stable Israeli government following the upcoming Knesset elections. "Israel needs a stable government after the elections, and I do not intend to sit on the sidelines," Herzog said in an interview with Kan News. He emphasized that if he encounters a political situation requiring his involvement and assistance, he will act, expressing concern and hope for greater stability and calm in the country.

Hersog also commented on the ongoing trial of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, suggesting the case should conclude. He proposed that legal principles could be satisfied through a settlement and reiterated his offer to mediate under the auspices of the President's Residence. Herzog noted that the Prime Minister has not yet responded but that the door remains open, as he believes the matter will eventually be discussed and settled.

In a separate discussion, Herzog addressed the film "Nezar," calling it a "shame and disgrace." He asserted that every IDF unit has a legal advisor overseeing decision-making processes and cited instances where cabinet decisions were delayed to prevent harm, implying the film misrepresented these procedures.
