MDA team and ambulance disinfected after first suspected Ebola case in Israel
Footage obtained Saturday by Kan News shows Clean Bit staff disinfecting the Magen David Adom team and the ambulance that transported the suspected patient. The man, who is thought to have contracted Ebola, returned from Congo in recent days and is being held in a dedicated isolation unit at Rambam Health Care Campus.
Test results are expected later today. If the suspicion is confirmed, he will be transferred to another hospital for treatment.
Earlier this week, before the patient arrived, the Health Ministry issued hospital guidelines for handling suspected cases. Five hospitals were designated as prepared to receive such patients, Ichilov, Sheba, Soroka, Rambam and Hadassah Ein Kerem.
