US, Israel, Arab Nations Hold Secret Iran War Talks in Germany

Senior military officials from the United States, Israel, and eight Arab nations convened in Germany for a closed-door meeting focused on the conflict with Iran and regional security. The gathering was organized by the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), with participation from military leaders representing Israel, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Jordan, and Egypt, according to Axios.

A primary topic of discussion was the future role of U.S. forces in the Middle East. CENTCOM Commander Admiral Brad Cooper affirmed that the U.S. has no intention of withdrawing its troops from the region, despite ongoing Iranian provocations.

The situation surrounding the Strait of Hormuz was also a key focus. Cooper briefed allies on plans to expand shipping through the vital oil and energy transport route. This meeting follows recent U.S. strikes against Iran, which occurred after an alleged attempt by Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) to seize a U.S. uncrewed surface vessel in the Strait of Hormuz.

U.S. forces reportedly destroyed two Iranian vessels in response to the attempted seizure. While U.S. officials stated the drone strike resulted in casualties, Iranian authorities claimed the vessels were fishing boats and several crew members are missing. CENTCOM confirmed the attempted seizure, with spokesperson Captain Tim Hawkins noting that U.S. forces intervened to prevent the IRGC boats from taking control of the American vessel, which remained under U.S. command throughout the incident.
