Biram Kayal Earns Sports Directorship Degree in England

Former Israeli international Biram Kayal has completed a sports directorship degree at the University of Portsmouth, in collaboration with the English Football Association. The ceremony took place at the Emirates Stadium, marking a new chapter for Kayal, who was forced to retire from his playing career three years ago due to a severe injury.

During his studies, Kayal also served as the professional manager for Bnei Sakhnin and is currently an assistant to Boni Ginzburg, the technical director of Israel's youth national teams. He is also responsible for developing football within the Arab community in Israel on behalf of the Football Association.

Kayal's cohort included notable football figures such as Tim Cahill, former star for Australia and Everton; Cesar Azpilicueta, who has played for Chelsea, Atletico Madrid, and the Spanish national team; and Tim Krul, the legendary goalkeeper for Newcastle and the Netherlands.

Brighton CEO Paul Barber, whose club Kayal previously played for, was among the senior lecturers. Sources close to Kayal stated that his desire to pursue the degree in England stemmed from his strong connection to English football, even beyond his Premier League playing days. Kayal maintains close ties with individuals at Brighton.
