Apple Bundles Streaming and Gaming Services with Cloud Storage

Apple is enhancing its iCloud+ cloud storage service by including subscriptions to Apple TV+ and Apple Arcade at no additional cost for paying users. This new offering means that anyone subscribing to iCloud+, starting with the basic 50GB plan for 3.90 shekels per month, will gain access to Apple's streaming service, featuring hundreds of series and films, and its gaming service, which offers a library of ad-free games.

The move integrates Apple's entertainment offerings more tightly with its core cloud services. Apple TV+ competes with major streaming platforms like Netflix and Disney+ and includes acclaimed original content such as "Ted Lasso," "Severance," and the Oscar-winning film "CODA." Apple Arcade provides access to a curated selection of mobile games across Apple devices without in-app purchases or advertisements.

While the exact duration of this promotion remains unclear, it significantly lowers the barrier to entry for Apple's entertainment services. Individually, Apple TV+ costs 25.90 shekels per month after a seven-day trial. The bundled offer allows subscribers to access both Apple TV+ and Apple Arcade for the price of the basic iCloud+ storage plan.

Apple offers various iCloud+ storage tiers, including 200GB for 11.90 shekels, 2TB for 39.90 shekels, 6TB for 119.90 shekels, and 12TB for 239.90 shekels per month. Subscribers can share their iCloud+ plan, including the bundled Apple TV+ and Apple Arcade access, with up to five family members.
