Hamas Battalion Commander Killed in Gaza Strike
Sources in Gaza reported that Ahmad al-Bats, also known as "Abu Osama," was killed in Gaza City on the night of September 15. Al-Bats reportedly commanded the Jabalia battalion within the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas. The strike occurred when an Israeli drone attacked a vehicle near the "17th Junction" on Ar-Rashid Street in the As-Safatawi area, in the western part of Gaza City, close to the Gaza port. Al-Shifa Hospital reported one fatality and several injuries following the incident. The Israeli military (IDF) has not yet commented on the information.
