Afikim Bus Driver Caught Watching TikTok While Driving
A driver for the Israeli bus company Electra Afikim was suspended on Monday after a video surfaced showing him watching TikTok videos while operating bus route 350 from Bnei Brak to Ashdod. The footage captured the driver repeatedly touching his phone and looking at the screen, despite passengers' pleas for him to focus on the road. Passengers expressed fear and distress, with one recounting how they were "truly scared" watching the driver's dangerous behavior. When confronted, the driver reportedly ignored their requests to stop and instead yelled at them. Electra Afikim issued a statement acknowledging the incident, stating, "We take the driver's behavior very seriously. After receiving the information, the driver was immediately removed from the agreement and deprived of the right to continue making trips for the company." This incident follows previous reports of increased fines and stricter controls for drivers in Israel.
