Bus Driver Suspended After Watching TikTok Videos While Driving
A bus driver for the "Electra Afikim" company was suspended from his job on Monday after footage emerged showing him using his phone to watch TikTok videos while driving.
The incident occurred on route 350, traveling from Bnei Brak to Ashdod. Passengers on the bus expressed fear and distress, attempting to get the driver's attention and urging him to stop endangering them. According to one passenger, when they approached the driver to address the issue, he not only ignored their pleas but also yelled at them, continuing to watch the videos.
"It was really scary to see the driver's journey," a passenger told N12. "When we went to see what was happening, we were surprised to discover he was busy watching TikTok videos while touching the device during the drive."
Electra Afikim responded to the incident, stating, "We view the driver's conduct with great severity. Upon receiving the information, the driver was removed from the schedule and immediately disqualified from continuing to make trips for the company."
