Bus Driver Suspended After Watching TikTok Videos While Driving
A bus driver for the Electra Afikim company was suspended from his job on Monday after video footage emerged showing him watching TikTok videos while driving.
The incident occurred on route 350, traveling from Bnei Brak to Ashdod. Passengers on the bus expressed fear and distress, approaching the driver to ask him to stop endangering them. According to one passenger, the driver ignored their pleas and instead yelled at them before continuing to watch the videos on his phone.
Electra Afikim issued a statement condemning the driver's behavior, calling it "very serious." The company immediately removed the driver from his schedule and barred him from further work pending an investigation.
"We view the driver's conduct with great severity," a company spokesperson said. "Upon receiving the information, the driver was removed from duty and disqualified from continuing to make trips for the company immediately."
