Southern District prosecutors filed an indictment in Beersheba District Court against Moshe Nadav, a 28-year-old bus driver from Rehovot, over the death of 16-year-old Naftali Tzvi Kramer. Prosecutors say Kramer was struck and killed during a Haredi protest near Kiryat Gat on January 20.
According to the charge, Nadav was driving a Metropolin bus on Route 3533 when demonstrators blocked his lane. The protesters were forced toward the sidewalk, and passengers on the bus called on him to stop, but he kept driving.
The indictment says Nadav continued until he hit Kramer. He is charged with causing death by negligence, a form of reckless manslaughter under the filing.
